CEO SeanSean Golliher, Founder and Publisher of SEMJ.org. Sean is a consultant for companies needing help with search engine optimization and paid advertising techniques. He has consulted on search engine optimization for companies in many different industries. Sean has a B.S. in physics from the University of Washington in Seattle, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University, holds four engineering patents, began studying search engines in 1999, worked as an affiliate marketer for four years before working on other companies websites, and ran his own SEO company in Colorado. His main research interests are search engine ranking algorithms and SEO. He frequently attends search marketing conferences in the U.S.

Bruce Clay Bruce Clay, Principal Editor, Search Engine Optimization (SEO). President and founder of Bruce Clay Inc., Bruce has operated as an executive with several high-technology businesses, and comes from a long career as a technical executive with leading Silicon Valley firms, and since 1996 in the Internet Business Consulting arena. David Szetela, Principal Editor, Paid Marketing and Pay-Per-Click (PPC). Online advertising expert David Szetela is Owner and CEO of Clix Marketing, one of the few agencies that specializes exclusively in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, creating and optimizing clients' Google AdWords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and Microsoft adCenter advertising campaigns. Clix is also one of the few agencies paid according to their performance - as a percentage of profit or a commission per sales lead generated. Szetela's 25+-year career working for small magazine publishers as well as Apple Computer and Ziff-Davis Publishing has provided him deep experience in direct response marketing. He is active in the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and is one of the authors of SEMPOs Advanced Search Advertising course. Andy Atkins-Krüger Andy Atkins-Krüger, Principal Editor, Global Search Marketing.
Having started his career briefly as a journalist, Andy quickly moved into marketing communications, where he has spent the last 20 years. He worked first in advertising, then founded a public relations consultancy, The Partners Group, before moving into corporate marketing. He first "discovered" search marketing in 1996, when he was charged with developing the European market presence of one of the U.K.'s best known B2B brands, Portakabin. After five years as the client, he bought into the supporting agency - WebCertain- where he became managing director. WebCertain has been operating search marketing campaigns for over 10 years and is one of few agencies that only deal with international campaigns - the company doesn't deal in purely English country projects.

Andy is a regular speaker at conferences around the world and this year alone he has been invited to speak in London, San Jose, Seattle, Toronto, Hamburg, Dublin, Munich, Stockholm, Dubai and Las Vegas, at conferences such as Search Engine Strategies, Search Marketing Expo, PubCon and Eye for Travel. Avinash Kaushik Avinash Kaushik, Senior Editor, Web Analytics.
Avinash Kaushik is the author of the recently published book Web Analytics: An Hour A Day . He is also the Analytics Evangelist for Google and a co-founder of Market Motive. As a thought leader Avinash puts a common sense framework around the often frenetic world of web research and analytics, and combines that with this philosophy that investing in talented Analysts is the key to long term success. He is also a staunch advocate of listening to the consumer, and is committed to helping organizations unlock the value of web data. Eric Enge, Senior Editor, Search Engine Optimization (SEO).  Eric is the president of Stone Temple Consulting , an SEO consultancy with offices in Boston and Northern California. Eric is also co-founder of Moving Traffic Inc., the publisher of City Town Info. Eric has been involved in SEO since 2002 and writes about SEO for Search Engine Watch, Search Engine Land, and SEOmoz. Eric is also a regular speaker at search conferences such as SMX, SES, and Webmaster World.


Ted Ulle (a.k.a. tedster), Senior Editor, HTML Coding and Web Development.
Ted Ulle attended Lehigh University and studied theoretical math at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Over the next tweny years he became a turn-around specialist for several multi-location retail businesses. In 1995 Ted brought his business skills to the web and was naturally drawn to Search Engine Optimization. Today he is the senior search specialist at Converseon and Glazer Enterprises Inc. He is also an Administrator for WebmasterWorld as well as a moderator for both the HTML & Browsers forum and the Google Search forum. Ted is also a regular speaker at PubCon conferences and has written technical marketing copy for enterprises such as Compaq, HP, BEA, EMC and Veritas/Symantec.

Editor European Search Sante J. Achille, Senior Editor, European Search Marketing. Sante lives in Italy and works out of a small medieval town called L'Aquila, 1 hour east of Rome. After acquiring a degree in engineering in 1986, he worked for major aerospace companies as a design engineer. In 1991 he joined the European Space Agency as a project management team member. In 1993 was introduced to the World Wide Web and took an interest to the technology and the far reaching implications it would have on society. In 1994 he participated in the second World Wide Web Conference held in Chicago to better understand the Web, and immediately afterwards resigned from his post with the European Space Agency to start his own company. Today he is a Professional Search Engine Consultant to Industry, Regional Government, and provides consulting services in partnership with major Italian Web Agencies and Web Certain in the UK. Sante has spoken at Search Engine Strategies events in London, Stockholm and Italy. Sante Teaches Search Engines and Web Marketing at the University of Florence, in the framework of the Master in Multimedia and Content Design.   Will Critchlow, Editor, Search Engine Optimization. Will Critchlow is a co-founder and director at Distilled , a London-based search-marketing agency specializing in natural SEO and online reputation. Will studied pure and applied mathematics at the University of Cambridge, gaining a Part III qualification in pure mathematics and statistics. His graduate paper regarded auction theory, is highly applicable to paid search. He is a regular speaker and author on SEO -- particularly on international and reputation issues.

Alissa RuehlAlissa Ruehl, Editor, Paid Marketing and Pay-Per-Click (PPC).
Manager of Website Effectiveness Consulting, Apogee Search Alissa Ruehl is the Manager of Website Effectiveness Consulting at Apogee Search, which came in at 368 in the 2008 INC 500 list. Prior to opening this new division, she managed the Paid Search department at Apogee for over three years, and during that time was personally involved in the management of paid search campaigns for over 100 companies, including Golfsmith, Lance Armstrong Foundation, PerkinElmer and St Jude Medical. In Apogee's Website Effectiveness division, Alissa has supervised and delivered successful conversion consulting engagements for dozens of companies.

She has been a champion for integrating paid search data into multi-level, online and offline tracking systems, and therefore approaches but paid search and website effectiveness not only in terms of boosting conversion to raw lead form or sale, but for improving the long term profitability of the website. Susan EsparzaSusan Esparza, Editor, Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Suzan is the Senior Editor at Bruce Clay. She joined Bruce Clay in November 2004 and has written extensively for clients' Web sites as well internal publications, the SEO Newsletter and the Bruce Clay Blog.She is the co-author the SEO for Dummies All in One Desk Reference due out December 2008 from Wiley Publications.
